Result of Noak Bridge Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

The Parish Council are pleased to announce the official result of the Referendum of the Noak Bridge Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan that took place on place on Tuesday 16th December 2025. Although the turnout was low over 50% of those voting yes secured the adoption of the Noak Bridge Neighbourhood Plan

Our thanks to all those who voted to secure a Made Neighbourhood Plan with associated documents: Design Code, Local Green Spaces, Community Facilities and Character Appraisal that will be taken into consideration when determining Noak Bridge planning applications. Our thanks to Bluestone Planning consultants for their high quality work and exceptional knowledge that helped us produce a high quality documented Plan. We also thank the Independant Planning Examiner Andrew Ashcroft. Special thanks to Stephanie Kober, the Basildon Council officer for working with us. Last but not least we thank the Steering Committee made up of local residents for working alongside us providing their local knowledge and support. This is the first Neighbourhood Plan for Basildon, let it not be the last.
